First time parents here, our daughter is 7 months old, and i can totally relate to what you are writing, I especially recognized myself in the not wanting to take her out of the car seat.
Just came out of her bedroom after one hour of comforting her. She seems extra troubled with her gums at bedtime - has anyone else noticed this?
We use something called dentinox here in Norway that is a liquid smeared on her gums. That and frozen rings sometimes helps, and sometimes not.

thanks for the advice. We're in the middle of June of 2011 now but I still think this piece of advice will still be applicable. And as always, we have to be a little cautious with this decease.

Wow, what a fantastic day for you and your DS. I can tell Nathan will have more interest in engines when he grows up.

I'm planning on taking DH out for fishing. I can hardly wait for it myself. It's just an amazing experience to be able to spend time with your kids and just enjoy life with them.

It's always tough, Jen, raising a baby for the first time. Those sleep ins sure seem like the holy grail that you can never have once you become a mother. As hard as Nathan works though, I think it would be nice to ask him one Saturday or Sunday a month to dig deep and look after little Thomas, so that you can have a much deserved sleep in :)

When I was a first time mother, my own mother gave me some very good advice, which I still follow today. Wake up before your baby does, take a shower, put on some clothes that make you feel pretty, and then do your hair and make-up. Even if you are going nowhere all day, make yourself look pretty.

Doing this will not only make you feel better, but you will be motivated to get more done. You also may even find you are motivated to try to exercise more and eat better.

Being a new mom is so tough. Take a few minutes at the beginning of each day to do something special for yourself. You will be a better mother because of it!

I wouldnt think this would do him any harm.

Neither would not having any milk tho, and giving him the calcium in another way. Many babies are raised vegan and are very healthy. Spinach is a good source of calcium, as are yoghurts, cheese etc. Maybe he just doesnt like milk :)

I had the same problem as yours.

I was talking to a friend at mums and tots who’s little on is exactly the same, she has moved him onto the Cow And Gate 1yr+. She said the guidlines on the amount of a follow on baby can have in a day is just an approximate guide, so I would be ok just giving Thomas the one type of milk morning and night.
